Executive Family Pastor
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Position
First Naz is looking to hire a high-level leader to help lead us into the next stage of growth through providing leadership to our family ministry staff, developing our internal leaders, and overseeing our residency program. This leader will be a developer by nature, organizationally skilled, and have a pastoral heart. They will also embody the outward-focused, warm, relational, family-focused culture of First Naz. This position is full-time salaried with benefits.
Church Bio
First Naz is a growing church in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We average around 750 in worship attendance (+200 in the last 3 years). We are uniquely positioned to reach our target, young families, through Nazarene Preschool (120 students) and Nazarene Recreation (3,000+ registrations a year) who operate within our building. We are at a tipping point in reaching these families, with the vast majority of our recent growth coming from these families.
Position Overview
Partner with the Executive Team to lead the family ministry staff and develop leaders to advance the ministry of First Nazarene Church.
Partner with the Executive Team
Serve alongside the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor to guide the direction and vision of the church.
Lead the Family Ministry Staff
Oversee the Family Ministry Team that serves ages 0-18 by leading the Student Pastor, NazKids Directors, and the family ministry assistant.
Depending on the candidate, participate in the preaching team.
Develop Leaders
Develop our internal leaders who can lead at a higher level and/or feel a vocational call to ministry.
Oversee our resident program to develop the next generation of ministryleaders.
