Position Overview
We are seeking a spiritually mature and musically gifted Worship Director to lead and oversee all aspects of worship at Grace Church. This role is ideal for a leader who is both pastorally grounded and creatively driven—someone who can craft worship experiences that are theologically rich, spiritually engaging, and culturally relevant.
The candidate we are looking for will disciple and develop worship and production teams, plan worship services in collaboration with pastoral staff, and ensure every worship experience reflects the heart and mission of Grace Church. This individual will play a key role in shaping the worship culture of the church, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with pastoral and creative teams to plan and lead impactful worship services aligned with our mission and vision.
Lead and disciple both paid and volunteer worship team members through recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing development.
Oversee all musical and technical aspects of weekend services, rehearsals, and special events to ensure excellence and preparedness.
Provide leadership and support to the production team.
Manage the worship and production budget with stewardship and effectiveness.
Foster a healthy, Christ-centered culture among worship and tech teams marked by humility, unity, and spiritual growth.
Be an engaged, collaborative member of the Grace Church staff, contributing to broader ministry goals.
Qualifications
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ marked by spiritual maturity and integrity.
A worship philosophy and practice that aligns with Grace Church’s mission, vision, and values, and supports the vision of the Lead Pastor.
Proven leadership skills with experience building teams, developing volunteers, and pastoring others.
High level of musical ability (vocally and/or instrumentally) with the ability to lead worship and coach other musicians.
Knowledge of modern worship culture and tools, with experience using media and technology in a church setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a culture of encouragement, growth, and accountability.
Previous experience in a worship leadership role is required.
