Position Overview:
We’re hiring a full-time Connection Coordinator to strengthen two key ministries: Small Groups and Guest Services. This role is primarily administrative in nature, blending people-focused ministry with detail-driven coordination. You’ll manage systems that help people take their next step, ensure volunteers are prepared to succeed each Sunday, and support small group leaders and coaches with tools to thrive. You’ll also assist the Connection Director with scheduling and organization. At its core, this role is about making sure no one slips through the cracks, whether they are a first-time guest, a new group member, or a volunteer. By keeping teams and systems running smoothly, you will help people feel welcomed, equipped, and cared for as we live out Northpoint’s desire to be For Austin.
Small Group Responsibilities:
Coordinate small group sign-ups and follow-ups to ensure everyone interested in joininga group gets connected.
Provide administrative and resource support to small group leaders and coaches (e.g.,managing group curriculum and leader resources, organizing leader communication).
Assist in planning and executing small group events and trainings (such as group launches, appreciation events, and leader cohorts), ensuring logistics like registrations,rooms, materials, and catering are covered.
Maintain accurate group data in Planning Center, including people’s info, group listings, and coaching assignments, and update the Connection team dashboard metrics.
Facilitate clear communication with group leaders and members by scheduling newsletters, sending updates and reminders, and responding to inquiries in a timely, caring manner.
Support volunteer small group coaches by organizing their meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking follow-ups so leaders feel cared for.
Manage the Connection Director’s calendar and appointments with leaders, coaches, and other key relationships.
Guest Services and What’s Next Responsibilities:
Schedule and organize volunteer teams for Sunday services and special events, ensuring all roles are filled in Guest Services and What’s Next.
Prepare and equip teams each Sunday by setting up materials and environments that help them thrive and serve guests with confidence.
Help coordinate Discover Northpoint by managing sign-ups, event logistics, and follow-ups.
Manage inventory of Guest Services supplies, restocking proactively so we’re always ready to host guests.
Be present on Sunday mornings to support volunteers and ensure teams are set up for success.
Team Support Responsibilities:
Help recruit and onboard new volunteers, communicate schedules and expectations, and foster a warm, servant-hearted culture where volunteers feel valued and equipped to succeed across all areas of the Connection team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A growing relationship with Jesus and a commitment to Northpoint’s vision, mission, and strategy.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Comfortable using databases, spreadsheets, and communication tools, with a willingness to learn our church management systems: Planning Center and ClickUp.
Ability to manage multiple projects, respond to email promptly, and meet deadlines.
Available to work on Sunday mornings as part of a regular weekly schedule.
Relational, approachable, and enjoys encouraging and supporting others.
A high level of confidentiality and trust when handling sensitive information and conversations.
