Strategic Planning
creating a plan for what matters most
You have all the right people in place. You have a distinct mission and vision for your ministry, but still… things aren’t turning out as expected. Does this sound familiar?
RESOURCES: Despite having a passionate team, you're constantly juggling time, money, staff, and systems.
EXPERIENCE: How do we know what’s really working for many organizations vs. just a one-hit wonder?
SCALE: Navigating the complexities of a growing organization can be daunting when next steps aren’t clear.
PACE: You’re doing more than you ever have, but are you doing the RIGHT things?
FOCUS: Does everyone have clarity on how to make the right decisions in light of your goals?
SCOREBOARD: Does everyone know how to tell if they are succeeding over the long haul?
When was the last time your team thought about the big picture, evaluating where you are, and how to get from here to there?
Strategic Planning gives you the opportunity to plan toward the vision that your specific church is called to. The process aligns both tactics and measurable goals to the future you believe is possible. It also has a way of pragmatically reducing the “extra stuff” that is all good but doesn’t really move you forward.
The goal of the process is to:
Clarify your strategy.
Simplify your focus.
Unify your team.

DELIVERABLES
Establish two to three objectives to move your mission forward. Include key goals and metrics to measure success over the next three months.
Identify the person who will "own" each objective for the year.
Identify who will be on each "objective team" to drive progress for each objective.
Suggest activities your church should consider stopping.
Determine a clear way to galvanize your staff and volunteer teams toward shared goals.
Schedule follow-up meetings to evaluate progress and make any necessary adjustments.
EXPECTATIONS
A two day session is designed to lead key contributors (5–10 people) through a series of tools that will help identify next steps to move the organization’s mission forward. The tools can be applied to your church’s overall mission or a more specific focus.
The process works best when key contributors participate with a humble, curious, and teachable posture.
With each person contributing to the process, it increases ownership and unity of the team.
The journey is not over. We’ll schedule clear follow-up meetings and next steps to help you facilitate through the expected, necessary adjustments.
