What started 17 years ago as a small group of people with a passion for their unchurched friends and neighbors has grown into Beachside Church of today, located along the Emerald Coast in Fort Walton Beach, FL. With a laser-focused mission of inspiring people to follow Jesus with all their heart, our goal is still to create a church that unchurched people love to attend. We do this not just by creating incredibly engaging environments on Sunday morning, but also through a concerted effort to be a positive influence in our community. Through our For The Emerald Coast initiative, we serve families, schools, and local non-profits throughout our community.

Position description
Beachside Church is looking for a high-caliber leader to join our family ministry team. The role of the Children’s Ministry Director is to inspire people to follow Jesus with all their heart by overseeing ministries related to preschool and elementary-aged children and their families.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and implement children’s ministry environments on a weekly basis for Waumba Land (birth to pre-k) and UpStreet (kindergarten - 5th grade)
Develop and manage a budget for children’s ministry environments
Enlist, equip, encourage, and evaluate the Waumba Land and UpStreet teams (staff and volunteers) personally and professionally
Lead Waumba Land and UpStreet teams, including Host Team, Production Team, Small Group Leaders, and Weekday Volunteers
Invest regularly in Waumba Land and UpStreet key leaders
Communicate weekly with all Waumba Land and UpStreet volunteers
Prepare and execute events including volunteer orientations, volunteer training, Baby Dedication, Fall Kick-Off, Key Leadership Dinners, Invest and Invite Events, and Promotion
Lead the marketing and parent communication of Waumba Land and UpStreet through emails, printed materials, website, and social media
Ensure that all volunteers are screened and background checks are performed by maintaining the process for new volunteers
Partner with parents by equipping them with resources and training to lead their children
Execute & Prepare curriculum for Waumba Land & UpStreet
Evaluate Waumba Land and UpStreet on a regular basis to ensure that all environments are appealing, engaging, clean, and safe
Other duties as needed to make all Beachside environments excellent and support the team
Schedule: 40 hours a week - Sunday through Thursday
