Position Summary:
To create a place where anyone can belong before they believe, the Children’s Pastor oversees the Creek Kids ministry that makes faith personal at every phase.
20-25 hours/week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging Sunday morning experience for ages 0-5.
Oversee the implementation of curriculum ensure engaging Bible-based lessons.
Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams who serve in each age group
Build strong partnerships with parents to support faith development at home.
Manages the ministry budget responsibly.
Manages & creates Creek Kids social media content.
Contributes to Creek Kids communications.
Coordinates, organizes, & implements Creek Kids special programming. (i.e.Child Dedication & Baptism)
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and Abilities):
Education and Experience: must have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
5 years related experience and/or training preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers, church members or staff members of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must have knowledge of internet, spreadsheet, budgeting, and word processing software.

Current Driver’s License
Spiritual Requirements:
Regular involvement in church activities and events.
Signed acknowledgement of CATC’s Statement of Faith and Staff Lifestyle Agreement.
Signed acknowledgement to policies and procedures as stated in CATC’s employee handbook.
Living out the spiritual principles outlined in the Staff Lifestyle Agreement; participation in a small group; tithing consistently; attending worship services; involvement in outreach; following Christ personally and passionately; sexual purity.
