Ridge Church is a non-denominational church located in Matthews, N.C. We host two identical modern style worship services as well as streaming services live online and live to a venue in the Collective Café located on our property. At Ridge Church we want to make our entire community an even better place to live. We are currently in the search for a part time Music Director to help create a culture of excellence and engagement musically. The mission for our music director is To inspire and equip people to become fully engaged followers of Jesus by creating a culture of worship and musical excellence that inspires “all” people to engage with God.
This is a 25 hour per week part time position that oversees and coordinates all aspects of music ministry. This position reports to the Lead Pastor and works in coordination with the weekend experience director.
Necessary Core Competency & Skills:
3-5 years of related experience preferred
High self-awareness and ability to manage emotions considering others
Musical ability vocally and instrumentally to lead worship & band
Technical musical skills with basic understanding of sound, PCO, tracks/Ableton è Organizational skills for planning, calendaring, & scheduling
Ability to recruit, onboard, and train team members
Ability to cast vision around organizational mission and values
Ability to provide care and help for team members
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create over all culture of musical excellence & care—for staff, contractors, vols, attendees.
Oversee all music planning & scheduling (PCO)—in coordination with Campus Pastor & Weekend Experience Director
Recruit and network to find new talent and keep an active reserves list in all positions.
Develop worship teams, band, & sound engineers by setting clear expectations, coaching, discipleship, and evaluation with clear action plans (for weekends and events)
Work Schedule: Two days on site-Sunday & Tuesday, plus events. All other work can be done remotely / Total compensation range dependent upon skills, qualifications, and experience: $32-36k yearly. For application, inquiries, or to send resumes email: hiring@ridgeministries.org
