anthem Overview

Anthem Church began in 2008 when a small group of people partnered with North Point Ministries to start a church for people who don't like church. Anthem has always been a place known for what we're FOR and have always believed that people who were nothing like Jesus, liked Jesus. So, since day one, we have created environments that are for everyone, not only church people.

While our strategic partnership with the Irresistible Church Network fuels the strategy and model of our church, Anthem is exclusively led and funded locally by those fully engaged in the church. We are passionate about the power of the Gospel to set people free from sin, unlock the peace of God in their lives, and make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors, the next generation, and the world. Whatever challenges any individual, group or community faces, we believe the best solution always starts with meeting Jesus and experiencing his love by surrendering our lives to him.

key intangible characteristics

Zealous Ministry | A passion for the local church, reaching people far from God with the gospel, and creating environments that inspire people to follow Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.

Warm Competence | A leadership paradox lives inside this individual. They are both highly competent (gifted, skilled, talented, smart) and also incredibly warm (loving, caring, kind, generous). The combination makes them wildly attractive to everyone they work with.

Articulate Communicator | Getting people aligned and helping them stay engaged requires loads of great communication. The Lead Pastor thrives in synthesizing, packaging, and delivering organizational clarity, then repeating it regularly to all key stakeholders. They have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exemplary Character | As the primary spiritual leader of Anthem Church, the Lead Pastor must be a leader worth following. They should be somebody you’d gladly drop your kids off with for mentoring and discipleship. “Character above charisma” is one of their personal core values.

Ownership Mentality | The Lead Pastor takes full responsibility for their actions and outcomes rather than blaming external factors or making excuses. It means taking initiative, embracing challenges, holding yourself accountable, focusing on solutions, being proactive, and having a long-term perspective.

Emotional Balance | This is an emotionally steady, stable, and self-controlled leader who can handle the heat of organizational forest fires. Without compromising authenticity and vulnerability, the Lead Pastor can stay calm and lead on even in the most trying seasons.
