Central Service Programming Director
The Role:
The Central Service Programming Director plays a vital role in fulfilling The Avenue Church’s creative vision. This role requires proficiency in management to lead multiple projects and teams responsible for The Avenue Church’s experiences in both physical and digital environments. Primarily, the Central Service Programming Director will relate closely with the Executive Pastor of Experience to conceive and implement strategies that amplify the priorities and passions of The Avenue Church. This includes developing and leading the teams responsible for creative production at weekend services, midweek student services, online services, and special events across the organization as scheduled.
This role is responsible for leading the service programming of all specified services (and conjunctive rehearsals) at The Avenue Church to deliver engaging, inevitable experiences that tell a compelling story. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Pastor of Experience to deliver content consistent with the brand, character, and culture at The Avenue Church. Specifically, this role will serve as the Service Programming Director for both campuses, being responsible for efforts in accordance not only with the live in-person experiences, but with the online and broadcast efforts of the church at large.
Oversight:
All service programming-related elements and content for the Waxahachie and Ennis campuses (personnel, scheduling, budgets)
The worship department for the Waxahachie and Ennis campus (personnel, scheduling, budgets)
The production department for the Waxahachie and Ennis campus (personnel, scheduling, budgets)
Creative direction and execution of all service programming elements performed at both campuses
All musical/creative/production equipment on the campuses (maintenance and new purchases)
responsibilities:
The planning and execution of weekly services with relation to content and personnel.
Active oversight of Waxahachie and Ennis Campus Worship departments, including staff, contractors and budgets.
Active oversight of Waxahachie and Ennis Campus Production departments, including staff, contractors and budgets.
Actively manage all budgets related to worship and production for all specified experiences (equipment and contractors).
Assist and lead programming teams involved at the campus with regards to communication and resources (call times, expectations, vision etc).
Build, lead, develop, shepherd, and provide general oversight of campus programming teams.
Play a pivotal creative role in managing projects and timelines as a part of the Service Programming Team.
Champion the creative vision for The Avenue Church across all departments.
Serve the mission and vision of The Avenue under the leadership of the Executive Team.

qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role
Proven success in managing teams
Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece individually or through a team
Strong communication and technical skills
Experience with most major production hardware/software platforms, project management tools, and church management software a plus
Comprehensive knowledge of production equipment at large
